graduation invitation

when we were graduating from college we had to come up with our invitation for our final exhibition.
i came up with the concept of a paper airplane, so everyone could come see us take off.
our whole class contributed to the design of the flyer.
it was an a4 sheet that would be handed out, instructions on how to fold it were printed on a slip at the bottom, and everyone could fold their own airplane.
it was an interactive invitation, which folded easily into an envelope, it could be easily handed out as flyers and all the info was on it.
it was a 2 colour job, black and green and using the white of the paper.
it was very plain and simple, using mostly type as a graphic element with a couple of icons.
in the end it drew a lot of attention and it was well received.
the exhibition was quite a success, with an exhibition it is quite important to have a flyer or invitation that stands out from the rest and is inviting.
i think this invite was very friendly and unique.
it was a very fun project to do.
