lolita book cover

i designed this book cover for lolita.

i wanted it to have this cute look but also have a feeling of disturbance, to emphasize how twisted the book is.

i used water and ink to create this look, everything was done by hand.

i love how expressive and free it looks.

i think it works perfectly for a book cover, plain simple striking.

if i saw the book on the shelf i would pick it up and read it.

they say don't judge a book by it's cover, but this is something we all do, if a book doesn't look interesting the chances are we won't pick it up and read it.
