i wanted to do an illustration that represented the war, the violence and the health care that goes along with it.
i wanted something that was strong and bold and easy toe relate to.
i bought some toy soldiers and packed them out in a cross, like a hospital cross icon, and i spray painted in red spray paint, once it was dry i removed the soldiers.
and i was left with this strong imprint of what a blood bath a war really is.
i love how strong and bold this is.
it looks almost like real blood was shed on the page.
sometimes the best resolution for a design problem is a very simple one.
in this case a one colour spray paint job did the subject matter more than justice.
i love using spray paint and making stencils, it's a lot of fun and it always creates an interesting look and feel.
