these are a couple of pen and ink illustrations i did when i was still in college.
i really enjoy working with ink, it's a wonderful medium.
to me there are no mistakes only happy accidents.
every stroke and line is beautiful and unique.
it's unpredictable and you are never quite sure what the end product will look like.
but in the end it's such a wonderful process and so freeing.
it is really one of my favourite mediums.
the animal drawings was for a project on animal abuse, it was extremely sad looking at all the abused animal pictures.
but i loved doing the illustrations.
the pen and ink gave the topic a beautiful raw sad feeling.
the face drawing is one i did one day when i was bored and looking through magazines.
i like how clean and open it is, it's simplistic in it's beauty.
